Made-to-measure whirlpools – Frequently asked questions
What are the requirements for installing a whirlpool?
A suitable location is required for the installation of a whirlpool, which can usually be found in the
garden, on the terrace or balcony. In addition, a fixed
power connection is required, and Valhalla Whirlpool also needs a fixed sanitary building connection. Filling is automatic (controllable via app, Vistapool 3.0 available in the Apple Store), whereby the pool and the app are connected to each other during installation.
For balconies, terraces or conservatories, the load-bearing capacity of the floor must be checked by a technician. The location should also be avoided under trees and shrubs that "drain" heavily (e.g. birch).
The following structural conditions must be met:
- Water: Sanipex (pipe type) 16mm, min. 4 bar pressure
- The sewer connection does not have to be on a slope, as the waste water is pumped from
our site.

Have the power cable for the whirlpool bath connected directly to the assigned
electrical distribution board/fuse box (protected by an RCD). The power cable is fed in from the floor
Do I need a building permit for the Valhalla whirlpool?
If you are planning a hot tub, check with your local authority whether a building permit is required. In many cases, a permit is required in Switzerland, especially for larger outdoor installations.
Is salt water possible in the whirlpool tub?
It is possible to use the whirlpool with salt water, but we recommend iodine or salt solution. However, iodine is the better choice.
How high are the operating costs of the whirlpool?
Operating costs vary depending on the season. They are lower in summer and slightly higher in winter. The circulation pump only consumes 120 watts, while the LED lights and the heating system are also energy-efficient.
Can I connect the whirlpool tub to a power socket?
No, the Valhalla whirlpool tub is connected to a permanently installed power connection. A conventional socket is not sufficient. The connection is made by an electrician and requires protection with an RCD.
Can a whirlpool tub be connected to a power socket?
Whirlpools generally require a permanent power connection to ensure safe and reliable use. Installation should be carried out by a professional to ensure that all technical requirements are met.
How long is the delivery time for the Valhalla whirlpool?
After the down payment, the delivery time is approximately 4 to 6 weeks. We will inform you of the delivery status in good time and coordinate the time of installation with you.
What happens to the whirlpool tub when I am on vacation?
You can conveniently lower the temperature of the whirlpool via app. If you take out a service contract, the technician will take care of regular maintenance and monitoring while you are away.
